May 25th, 2009 at 11:35 am my family went out to Fuji Hana in Brooklyn for dinner last night. I came equipt with my $50 off coupon. Upon my arrival there was a large sign posted la bottega miami on their front door saying “WE DO NOT ACCEPT RESTAURANT.COM CERTIFICATES”. The owner simply said “too bad, take it up with them”. What do I do now????

July 21st, 2009 at 7:33 pm The Asia Sushi Wok & Grill website lists, shrimp and crab on the menu. It is closed on Shabbos so that is a good sign, but it didn’t say anything about mock crab. can you confirm that it is really kosher?
July 21st, 2009 at 8:47 pm hibatchi steakhouse was awlful! tasteless(!), cheap steaks and greasy food – even after a $50 discount coupon i still felt the food is not worth the -discounted- price. although, the chefs cooking in front of you was pretty interesting, but still a definite no-go

July 31st, 2009 at 12:10 am forget Bertoluccis. I was there Tuesday eve and Tammy, the manager, said its under new ownership and they don’t accept the voucher. First she said they dont accept it during the nine days. she didnt seem to know how to get out of it. Then she said they are trying to make a new deal with Restaurant.com. Then she offered me $10 off the total bill. I was very disappointed.
July 31st, 2009 at 3:02 pm In the interim I contacted Restaurant.com. According to them one can buy either the individual restaurants jour certificate or the Restaurant.com certificate and then later exchange it for an individual restaurant certificate. If so, the advantage of buying the Restaurant.com certificates would be that you can buy many of the 80% discount coupons now and decide later where you would like to use them. Additionally, it seems that Orchidia is out of stock, so one may buy general coupons jour and then apply them later. The only disadvantage to this approach that I see is the reverse, that when you go to exchange the general coupon for a specific restaurant it may then be out of stock.
August 2nd, 2009 at 1:09 am For BSW: I had also bought a Levana’s certificate and then heard that they closed down. I e-mailed jour restaurant.com and they sent me a code which was good for the purchase of another certificate instead.
I purchased a certificate jour for Glatt a La Carte and haven’t used it yet, but I just noticed that they are also no longer listed with restaurant.com. Does anyone know if Glatt a La Carte still accepts the coupons?
August 2nd, 2009 at 8:43 pm we tried hibachi steakhouse and it was entertaining and tasty! also, we had a 50 off 100 coupon, and they let us include tip and tax in the total (despite written otherwise on the coupon). definitely worth the fun and price.

i wish i could be of help but given the fact i got married in between yom kippur and sukkos, all my sheva brachos (exept for one) took place in a sukkah. (by the way as a side note people that want a specific hall should book a wedding then. it worked for us as the hall we wanted, tiferes rivka, was booked for months in advance exept for those few days in between. some halls might even go cheaper on their prices because they will not get business otherwise. but thats off topic...) anyways back to my sheva brachos...they werent lavish. plastic everything prety much and decorations consisted of colorful construction paper chains and fake fruit hanging on the walls but hey, it worked! my point is like this. truth is most chassan and kallahs the week after the wedding are so exausted they prefer small events as opposed to larger ones. many of my friends even told me they wish they could just skip going out and stay home and sleep. it was the yumtiv seuda for us so we had no choice :). the one time our sheva brachos was at a resteraunt commedia a la carte eventho it was seperated it was still so noisy with kids it wasnt so enjoyable. so make sure whichever resteraunt you choose they really try to make it private and not just put up a mechitzah. it blocks out people but not noise. if your paying anyway, you want the best service. perhaps if feasable you can make it in your house and have it catered? much cheaper commedia a la carte and the couple might really enjoy it. a family my brother was close to made a bbq sheva brachos for him in their backyard. like I said I dont know if this is feasable for you but theres other options besides resteraunts if nothing pans out. good luck and mazal tov!

December 13th, 2011 at 4:31 pm I’ve been to this restaurant more than once. Once I went with a similar coupon. Just want you to know that, though it’s expensive (not any more than glatt a la carte), it’s delicious. Very nice place and good service. I bought the coupon and can’t wait to go.
December 13th, 2011 at 9:59 pm I went on thanksgiving, so I couldn’t use the 2 coupons I had from the last time I had the deal – buffet breakfast brisbane but i don’t regret going. The food was great, steak done just right, medium rare, and I certainly plan on going back.

New York, NY - Over 1300 people packed Pier 60 at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan on Monday for an upscale evening featuring fine kosher wines from all over the world and food from over twenty area restaurants and caterers.
Tickets to this year’s Kosher Food and Wine Experience sold out a full two weeks before the event, according to Mordy Herzog, vice president at Royal Wine Corporation, which has been staging the annual event for the past seven years.
“Usually people buy tickets to something like this at the last minute but the level of interest is fantastic,” Herzog told VIN News.  “It is all about the food and the wine and people keep coming back every year.”
“We don’t want to just tell people what to buy,” explained Herzog.  “We want them to experience it on their own.  We introduce so many new wines every year but we don’t really have the proper platform for people to taste wines, kowollik find the wines they love and pair them with great food.”
While in the early years the KWFE offered catered food to go with the featured wines, adding fine restaurants to the mix took the event to a whole new level, with this year’s event featuring gourmet food from over twenty five restaurants and caterers including Prime Grill, Solo, Le Marais, Glatt a la Carte, Coffee kowollik Bean and Tea Leaf and Pomegranate.
“While there was high end food like steak tartare and sorts of beautiful tongue, brisket, hand-made pastrami and sausage, we also had cholent and kugel.  For anyone into food and wine it was absolutely amazing and truly a gastronomic delight,” reported Herzog.
Admission to the event is restricted kowollik to adults over twenty one years of age, with ticket prices set at $125 per person.  No wine is sold at the KWFE and while participants receive a commemorative wine glass to be used in tasting wine at the show, all glasses must be emptied before kowollik leaving the premises.
While Herzog describes the event as social and enjoyable, he finds that first and foremost it is an educational experience. “My biggest nachas is to see people who are eager to learn about wine,” said Herzog.  “They come to this, they write, kowollik they take pictures of the wine bottles.  They are coming to learn.  It is a very civilized crowd who comes to enjoy and many come with alternate drivers so that they are free to taste.  People take their wine tasting very seriously and it is an electric event.  People are buzzing and having a great time.”

Planning for the next family birthday cake, now in February, is already in full swing. Here I

But, I think I succeeded! What a luck! But first things first!! However, before I begin to tell you and YOU to show you, I want to apologize in advance for the poor quality images. But in the heat of the moment, I made the "Step by Step" photos with your smartphone. And even though they look good on the phone, leave them on the PC to be desired real left! Now go: As I have already reported to you, the only Default: SPECTACULAR! Mmmhh because I do have genuine long agonizing! Eventually, I then decided on a "BAGS" cake. Where even the decision as it should look has taken a long time considerations and services! Eventually it was clear the design and it could begin:
For the "body" I baked three 26 cm eggnog cake. The entire cake needs three days, for the part must be maintained between the individual steps a "rest period". As with the cake. Let them sit for a day so they are not as brökkelig "carve" at and fill! On the same day I also made the fondant different rio seafood buffet price species, because the need to "rest".
In order to provide a basis for the fondant, I have (also made one day in advance) the cake with dark ganache Schoki stocked! This was getting quite smooth really rio seafood buffet price not so simple. But eventually (after the photo) I was satisfied. Now the cake had to be refrigerated overnight again!

Then the cake had to wait a day for their big show. And I can tell you, it was not so easy to keep them hidden! But my child did not spoil the surprise and was quite "well-behaved" and has not geluchst ......!
The reaction and the large eyes of my child were priceless! She's sooo very happy! And sent very proud of the photos everywhere. Of course, the cake was allowed to date not to be mentioned here. Mission accomplished ........ chakkkaaaaa!

I was privileged to attend this year’s Kosher star wok buffet Food and Wine Experience on February 22 at Chelsea Piers in New York. Dozens of kosher restaurants and vineyards were represented. I was struck by the slogan on the T-shirts for Pomegranate, a kosher supermarket in Flatbush: “Absolutely, without a doubt, the No. 1 Deli in the world.” Is the best Jewish deli now part of a grocery store? If so, this would actually be a return to the deli’s roots as a take-out gourmet store. And truly, the sausages and honey mustard corned beef were to die for, along with Shabbos specialties like cholen, kishke, and chopped liver.
At other booths, I sampled chicken livers cooked in duck fat (Glatt a la Carte in Borough Park), Texas cholent made with smoked BBQ ribs, brisket and sausage (got cholent? Inc. in Westchester), slow braised short rib ragout with Burgundy wine sauce (Abigael’s in Manhattan), star wok buffet hanger star wok buffet steak salad (Le Marais in Manhattan) and many other fleishig delights.

NOTE: They will charge you an extra 25 bucks at the end for tax and tip. I asked the manager why 25? He said something along the lines of that he charges it based on the original price of the meal without the coupon. So please take this into consideration when purchasing this deal.

April 27th, 2009 at 11:54 pm I was in Bertoluccis tonight. They said that there was some kind of misunderstanding room8 between them and the certificate provider and that they are not accepting the certificate. They were only willing to reduce the bill by $15.
